The Federation of Arab Scientific Research Councils (FASRC) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the French platform Cairn and the El Fikr Digital Library, aiming to enhance digital scientific publishing and make Arab scientific output internationally accessible.

 

On the sidelines of the International Decade of Sciences for Sustainable Development (IDSSD) Conference, hosted by UNESCO at its Headquarters in Paris, the Federation of Arab Scientific Research Councils (FASRC) signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Cairn, one of Europe’s leading digital scientific publishing platforms, and the El Fikr Digital Library.

The MoU was signed on behalf of FASR by His Excellency the Secretary-General, Pro. Abdelmajid Benamara, while Dr. Thomas Parisot, CEO of Cairn, signed on behalf of the platform, and Dr. Ibrahim Jarrah, founder of the El Fikr Digital Library.

The partnership aims to strengthen cooperation in scientific research and innovation, promote digital scientific publishing, exchange expertise, develop joint initiatives, and expand the international visibility and accessibility of Arab scientific publications, contributing to the global presence of Arab researchers and academic institutions.

This collaboration reflects FASRC’s commitment to building strategic international partnerships that support digital transformation in scientific publishing, foster open access to knowledge, and enhance the global impact of Arab research.
